KABUL (Pajhwok): A massive explosion rocked Jalalabad, capital of easte Nangarhar province, on Wednesday afteoon, a witness said.

Resident Mohammad Akbar told Pajhwok Afghan News the powerful blast happened near the Indian diplomatic mission at 12 noon.

Gunshots are still ringing out in the high-security area, he said. There was no official reaction immediately.
