MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A man shot dead his mother and brother in law over their alleged sexual relationship in Ghormach district of northe Faryab province, an official said on Friday.

The security official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mahmood, a resident of Sharshar area of Ghormach district, had “illicit relationship” with his mother in law.

He said the killer, Anar, had seen the two together.

Ghormach district chief Asal Khan also confirmed the incident but said they could not investigate it because Taliban were in control there.

The Taliban captured Ghormach district about two months ago.
