MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Some people in central Kapisa province beaten a driver to death as his vehicle crash a child who was wounded in the accident, an official said on Friday.

Qais Qaderi, the goveor ‘s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Shokhi locality in Mahmood Raqi, the provincial capital, late on Thursday.

The 65-year-old driver who hailed from Paghman district of Kabul was on his way to Nejrab district when faced got involved in the traffic mishap.

The injured child was said to be 5-year-old who was provided treatment at the Kapisa Civil Hospital.

Police Chief Brig. Gen. Ahmad Fahim Qaem said police arrested some suspects in coection to the killing of driver and were being investigated.
